When I originally posted about making these two outfits on Sew Weekly, I was a bit down and thought them a failure because neither were finished within the week. Below are some of the pics of what I had achieved in the week, and it wasn't too bad a start.
With the 50th anniversary next year, I'll be finishing them properly for me and Mr D (and probably upgrading some of the fabrics used.....I seriously want some of this fabric from Spoonflower for the 11th Doctor's shirt), and making something for Goth Child and Melchett. We've been the 11th Doctor, Amy, Rory and River Song for our family Doctor Who Impossible Astronaut roadtrip...
...but I think the 50th Anniversary deserves new makes. Do you think I can persuade GC and Melch to be the 4th and 10th? I reckon I might. Mind you Melchett is growing so fast this year, she'll probably more David-Tennant-heighted by 2013. I like cute little 10s.
(Btw all you fellow nerdy sewists.....have you SEEN the costumes coming up in the 2012 Doctor Christmas Special - The Snowmen?!! How excited are we?!! And what about a new interior to the TARDIS control room?!! SQUEE!!)
